When the current owners took over the business in 2000 it was a bed & breakfast and restaurant. This proved too much for two people, so we have concentrated on encouraging people to stay in the area longer, and no longer offer stays of less than three nights.

In 2005 we divided the house so that we could offer self catering facilities which has provided very popular and our marketing with Which.com and other organisations has paid off. The space can be used for bed & breakfast as required, and at the rear of the property the twin room we can offer bed & breakfast as it is not included in the self catering cottage. The separate kitchen allows us to provide breakfast which is then served in the old restaurant.

There is plenty of scope for further business expansion by making the restaurant space into a self contained unit, and we have also used the caravan as letting accommodation at busy times. Alternatively the new owners might like to reopen the restaurant.
